Project title: Antibiotic prescribing in Young Children: impact of deprivation and the long-term respiratory health outcomes.
Alec is a PhD student in Child Health at University of Liverpool. His research involves using national datasets to explore antibiotic prescribing in children and the relationship with respiratory health outcomes in later childhood (such as asthma and wheeze). Previously he obtained an MSc in Infection & Immunity from the University of Liverpool. Outside of academia, Alec is a practising veterinary surgeon, having obtained his BVSc from the University of Bristol in 2019.
